Good Evening.
Our Winlink Node is up and running, it is still in a testing state. Currently operating setup on the same server which is running our APRS Igate and a temporary Radio and TNC Provided by KC0NQE and KD0BAH. It appears to be working better every day as we fine tune it. If you have Winlink capabilities feel free to login to it on 145.010.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Thanks,

SWARG Meeting Set for Tuesday, March 29th @ 7pm, Come and Check into the net. Show your support for the local repeaters and discuss the upcoming projects. We need to decide what is next and how things are working!
Costs:
Repeater(2 Used Mobile Radios): $100.00
Amplifier(15w in 150w Out): $1100.00
Controller(NHRC-5): $249.99
Power Supply(35a w/ Battery Backup): $356.00
Duplexer: $2300.00
Lightening Protection Taking the bullet for the whole system: $54.99-Money Well Spent
Just to let everyone know the problems we were having for the net last night we actually problems caused by failed lightening protection at the repeater site. It appears that several things may have been hit by lightening at the site. The lightening protection was replaced with one of my loaner ones, so all of our equipment is back up and operational. At the next meeting we need to talk about purchasing a spare one of these, and the possibility of pursing insurance on all of our repeater equipment.
Thank you and good day.
Looking for comments about doing an Antenna Class/Project Day, learn about antenna basics(a little introduction for the new hams and an area of discussion for the long time hams). Everyone can then go ahead and build a J-Pole style antenna to suit their needs, whether they are wanting to get a on 70cm or on 2m, and then we can fully test this antenna on site and provide the information on what its “optimum” frequency is.
Let us know!
Their was a large scale power outtage for several hours Monday, March 14th 2011, morning, for some reason the Igate did not come back up, We will be checking on this over the next couple of days!
As of Tuesday, March 15th 2011, the IGate is backup!
Good Evening,
To keep everything running smoothly I check all of the logs and updated the local callsign “buddy list,” to keep our local hams showing up locally whenever they may be out of town. After all of this was verified the server was restarted. Everything came back up and is still running as smoothly as ever! The total uptime of the server was 27 Days, 16 Hours and some odd amount of minutes and seconds.
The email list subscribe button is not working properly. I have temporarily removed the list button. This is a temporary problem and will be solved soon.
Thanks and 73
